Take a minute to search out your truest self... Your truest feelings, your truest desires.
Is this in alignment with where you currently are?
Is this in alignment with the same self that's going through the storm? Because at the end of the day, they need to be the same person. Actually, the person going through all the mess right now, is going to be even better than that image of who you want to be... But you must keep developing. You must keep going, and keep moving toward that better self you're visualizing.
Imagine that your body is the car, the world around you is the road, and your mind is the driver. There are all types of pathways you can take to reach your destination, but there's one that'll be the exact fit; flow with it and don't worry about the traffic shown on the map.
I know I'm not the only one that has tried taking a different route than what my GPS said, only to end up later than what I would've been. "Shortcuts". Sometimes I get there sooner, but majority of the time now, the GPS knows what's up. So I learned to hang tight and just follow.
The best part about your journey is that there's no arrival time. You get there when you get there, but the faster, yet more skilled you drive, the quicker you'll get there. -- Some people in your life will be "Sunday drivers", others will be skilled professionals, many will be going with the flow of traffic or going slightly slower/faster, than you. Drive your style, but drive.
Get to the destination. Stop pulling over... Enough with the pit-stops, how many times do you need to eat and use the bathroom? Come on already. There are people waiting to cruise at a faster pace with you... That's another cool thing about this.
If you decide to drive faster and more skilled, there will be tons of people willing to show you how to be even better; for your safety and everyone else's. Driving fast doesn't have to be dangerous, but you have to make sure you can handle it, the car can handle it, and the road is well enough designed.
Enough about cars. Go live a fast but skilled life. In five years I went from not having a plan, to being a prison guard, to trading stocks, and now I'm writing these words. Get your engine pumping and put the pedal to the metal.
You have it in you, but you can't be afraid to let it out. Start now.
